Pasque
An all-day dining destination featuring seasonally driven nature-based cuisine.
OPPORTUNITY
Pasque offers a refined cuisine that explores the riches of each season in an elevated dining experience, located on the ground floor of Populus. Pasque is sustainability at the forefront, committed to bold initiatives that eliminate food waste, minimize carbon, repurpose organic materials, and exemplify Populus’ dedication to environmental stewardship.
Designed to mimic a forest floor holistically, the first floor of Populus provides a calming arrival experience and a welcoming reprieve from the bustling street outside. Pasque’s interiors are designed with sustainability at the forefront to minimize its carbon footprint utilizing repurposed, innovative, and locally and consciously sourced materials.
APPROACH
Our approach for Pasque focused on building a brand identity that captures its dedication to seasonality and refined dining. We created an elegant and robust brand system—including a logo mark, type and color palette, messaging, and a custom website—to convey Pasque’s nature-based cuisine and philosophy. Drawing inspiration from the resilient pasque flower and tactile field studies with the flower during the spring season in the mountains, we infused its unique qualities into the brand. Complementing the brand system, we designed custom menus on ethically sourced paper that showcase the seasonal offerings, enhancing the experience of dining on the forest floor.

The pasque type System
Built using 3 typefaces in 6 variations.

The pasque flower
The logomark and brand assets were created from a field study the 970 team did of the pasque flower in the wild. After foraging and harvesting a sample amount of flowers, the team scanned them in to create brand images and then create a stamp to be used for the logomark.

digital Environmental stewardship
An important pillar of both Populus and Pasque is caring for people and planet. This reverence for nature was something 970 worked into both the print and digital spaces as much as possible. At the bottom of the website is a ‘Day’ and ‘Evening’ toggle that sets the website into dark mode. Using dark mode allows you to save up to 47% battery and reduce your ecological footprint.
