Maverick has been around the entertainment industry for the better part of the last three decades but was revived as a music management company in 2014 with a focus not just on representation and marketing, but also on elevating the legacies of their artists through advocacy and philanthropic strategies. With one of the most sterling client rosters in the business, Maverick came to 970 needing a website built that called attention to the agency’s wealth of talent in a visually appealing manner. And they needed it fast.
APPROACH
Before we dove into the website, we spruced up the branding for one of our favorite clients. Just a little tweak to the fonts, a color adjustment, and a few new icons gave Maverick a new look. 970 worked quickly to identify a cutting-edge design, build an easily navigable site, and create a new-age user experience that belies just how forward-thinking Maverick’s business model is. Given the urgency of the client, we generated everything from fonts to the final product in just four months.
Maverick’s main focus was on increasing the web presence of their artist roster and of the social causes those esteemed artists support. With giants of the music industry and activism world from Paul McCartney and Miley Cyrus to U2 and Madonna under Maverick’s management, it was important the website layout was both eye-catching and intuitive, so users could not only identify the music legends represented by Maverick, but also the nonprofits they championed.
